New Prime is a manufacturing plant with diversified experience in casual and dress pants manufacturing.  We have an excellent trained staff of workers, managers and technical personnel with 24 years of experience in apparel manufacturing. From 1986 through 2005 we were owned by Oxford Industries.  Our strong points are…

Employee turnover:

We can provide records  on turnover  pertaining to past years.   It was customary for Oxford Industries to open sewing facilities AWAY from the major manufacturing centers. Our total turnover is below 1% per month. San Pedro is the second largest free zone in the country with 15 apparel plants and a total of 9,000 workers.  Santiago and its proximities has some 53,000 free zone workers.

 

Industry Compliance:

Manufacturing facilities owned by New Prime have been audited, approved, and certified by: Target, Lands’ End, LL Bean, Sears, Dillards, Eddie Bauer, Dicks Sporting Goods, Casual Male and JC Penney. The plants comply with regulations as requested in all areas for the above customers, including safety / sanitary conditions , emergency evacuation procedures and environment . We are environmentally certified with permit number 0258-04 (Secretaria de Estado de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales) We are currently in the process of transferring those permits to our new name (from Oxford to New Prime). The plants offer adequate corridors and well-identified exits. First aid kits are well stocked. A personal file is kept of each employee, containing official documentation certifying his/her age.  New Prime is certified by the Labor Board  as being in compliance with all the labor laws and regulations of the Dominican Republic. 

 

Services and Products Produced:

•         CMT & full package providers  of  men’s and ladies casual slacks, dress premium slacks,  custom fit  casuals and dress slacks, uniform bottoms  which includes skirts. We also make jeans and  cargo pants on a smaller scale.

•        Fabric warehousing, pattern making , marker making, fabric inspection, plotting, and cutting.

•        Product development and  merchandizing  in house.

•        Facilitate all aspects of Western Hemisphere manufacturing such as small runs, quick turn times and product flexibility. 

•        Laundry  with modern equipment and a capacity to wash up 20,000 pair per week  on diverse wash formulas.

•        Oven baking with two batch ovens that have a capacity to handle up to 20,000 pair per week. 

•        Our internal  laboratory  tests for Shrinkage, color fastness, tensile strength, crease rating , smoothness  and oil and water repellency  for Nano or repellency  treated fabrics/products.

•        Internal embroidery services

•        Our quality systems cover  marker calibration,  fabric inspection,  in process quality control systems and quality performance measurement reports.

•        Modern equipment.

•        Work in process reports are provided to customers on required formats

 

Importing/exporting logistics:

Through our  Global Logistics  Provider,  Kelly Global, in Miami Florida (www.klogistics.com)  we provide the

importing or exporting of goods throughout any point in the United States or the World  very  efficiently. Our shipments

normally enter through the Port of  Miami and can be routed to any point in the U.S. within 2 to 4 days maximum.
