Brenda Lloyd
A veteran writer and editor in the fashion industry from textiles to consumers, Brenda Lloyd has written for many publications and has media contacts across the garment industry press.
Most of her experience was with Daily News Record, later DNR Magazine, by whom she was employed as, first, a textile reporter based in Charlotte, N.C., and later as a Southeast regional editor and activewear market editor in Atlanta.
Before joining Daily News Record, she was associate editor for Textile Industries magazine, which was later acquired by Billian Publishing. She was also a free-lance writer for five years, writing for Women’s Wear Daily, Bobbin Magazine, Apparel Industry Magazine, Apparel News, California Apparel News, Footwear News, HFN, MR Magazine, Sportstyle Magazine, Accent Magazine and others.
Later, she worked briefly as fashion editor for Bridge News, a financial news wire service, before returning to DNR Magazine in 1999.
She has written numerous stories about apparel manufacturers, as well as apparel contractors, and was covering AAPN events shortly after the association was founded.
